Deep dive podcast
The actual journal entry
Yuckiness got worse so not posted for a few days. Found a recipe for a flu bomb by Barbara O’Neil. I simplified and integrated it into a meal with butter fried green vegetables and mushrooms using loads of crushed garlic, some chopped ginger and cayenne pepper. It works and using only loads of crushed garlic with the vegetables also works. It helped relieved the irritating cough and lack of energy for a few hours… better results for me than any medicine.
Feeling distant from someone I’ve known for a while. Didn’t feel like posting this at first to not give it energy, but sharing may help you or someone you know. Not going into details otherwise they may become identified but got to say that their lack of integrity in meeting promises where they themselves have used the word promise on more than one occasion and also not turning up when they say they will, doesn’t really help the image of their character… not just with me but also with others. Then them not being apologetic or providing an explanation and continuing to attempt to have friendly conversations as their behaviour is OK. It got a little too much recently they made a choice for some people, but it came from a selfish reason which they implied themselves. It concerns me that some people don’t seem to see or be concerned with the behaviour. Maybe some are ignoring it and moving forwards as I am… I use an exercise on undesirable situations life this which helps to not focus and react to that type of behaviour.
Not worried about it, but wondering if Donald Trump will become president, but love how Elon Musk is getting involved.
Moved lots of other tasks back to keep the next few days slower to help the healing process.
Transcript of deep dive
Male
Okay, so today we’re going to be doing like a super interesting deep dive. We got this single source that gives us a little peek into someone’s life.
Female
Yeah. It’s crazy how you can learn so much from, like, even just like a tiny bit of information about someone, you know?
Male
Right. Like, think about it. This person, they’re dealing with a really bad cold. Right. But instead of heading to the pharmacy, they go straight to their kitchen.
Female
Interesting.
Male
I get this. They make this, like, crazy concoction. Garlic ginger, cayenne pepper all mixed together.
Female
Wow, that’s intense.
Male
That’s like a fire breathing kind of remedy.
Female
I mean, I gotta say, it really makes you think about, like, this whole trend of natural remedies that’s going on. You know, people are, like, really looking for alternatives these days. Maybe they’re not so sure about conventional medicine anymore.
Male
Yeah.
Female
Or maybe they just want a more holistic approach to their health. What do you think about all that?
Male
Well, I mean, I definitely get it. Especially when it comes to, like, cold and flu season. Right?
Female
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
Male
Yeah. I. I’m always up for trying different things to boost my immune system.
Female
Right.
Male
I haven’t tried that specific recipe, though. They actually call it, get this Barbara Oneals flu bomb. Flu bomb, yeah. Which sounds pretty intense. If anyone out there is feeling brave, maybe that’s your next kitchen experiment.
Female
Maybe with a fire extinguisher on hand just in case. Huh.
Male
But, you know, on a more serious note, it looks like this person was dealing with more than just a cold.
Female
Yeah. Yeah.
Male
They’re going through a bit of a relationship challenge too.
Female
It does sound pretty rough. Like they were really let down by someone who, you know, made promises and then just didn’t follow through. Acted pretty selfishly.
Male
Yeah, that’s tough.
Female
But what really struck me was how they dealt with it. They mention using a specific kind of mental exercise to work through those difficult emotions.
Male
Oh, that’s interesting. I’d love to know more about that. Yeah. It makes you think about all the different ways people cope with stuff, right?
Female
Totally.
Male
Like, what tools do we use to navigate those, you know, those tricky situations that come up in relationships. Yeah, yeah. And just when you think you’ve got this person figured out, they throw in this seemingly random comment about, of all things, Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
Female
You know, it is fascinating, though. It’s like these little glimpses into someone’s thoughts can tell us so much about how connected we all are to the bigger picture.
Male
Right.
Female
Like, think about it. Even a passing thought about a political figure can show how much current events are actually impacting our emotions and perspectives.
Male
Yeah, absolutely. And to wrap things up, they talk about rearranging their schedule to focus on healing and taking things slower.
Female
Okay.
Male
Which, you know, brings us back to that idea of resilience.
Female
Resilience, yeah.
Male
Taking care of yourself in the midst of all these, you know, all these.
Female
Different challenges really does makes you wonder, you know, when you hear about someone else’s experiences, their health struggles, relationship problems, even their thoughts on politics, does it make you think about how you handle similar things in your own life?
Male
It’s amazing how just these little snippets can make us think so deeply about ourselves. Right?
Female
Sure, sure.
Male
We hope this deep dive has inspired you to, you know, maybe explore some of these themes a little further. Whether it’s natural remedies, coping mechanisms or how current events affect us personally.
Female
Yeah. There’s always something new to learn about, right?
Male
There’s always more to discover.
Female
Exactly.
