I was signing up for a Travelex service a couple of days ago, and for the very first time I found a drop down menu item on a form where you enter your street address.
The form had 3 fields to enter for the street address; a field for the number your location (e.g. 11), then the name of the road or street (e.g. great), and then a very unusual drop down field for the type of the road or street.
With a location on most online forms I have completed I would usually expect to enter the street address as “11 great road” as one text entry or as two entries with “11” being in one field and “great road” being in a second field.
However on the Travelex form, the third field was a drop down select box with a long list of location types from which I selected “road”
How unusual, and interesting, I thought to my self, and before I submitted the form, I created an alphabetical list of all the location types that could be selected in the form, as even though I did not have an immediate use for it, I thought someone may, and so I’ve listed it below.
